Hi Sandra, Thank you for your kind comments, lovely to hear from you. Researching a new series does take quite a time. The Glassmaker series took three years. As I have a background in textiles, I would not expect this series to take as long. I am hoping to start the first book, Amber Mills - Revolution sometime next year, depending on whether I write book four of Glassmaker first or not. Hence the reader survey. With my background, Amber Mills is something I have wanted to do. I was born in Belper, Derbyshire, which is the site of the second cotton spinning mill in the world and a leader4 in the social revolution at that time. It is now a World Heritage site. I am busy converting all of my books to e Books, The Glass Dagger is already available on the Kindle and I hope to have The Crystal Ship and Blood-Red Goblet available early next month. Best wishes, Peter.

Mr Cooke, I'm a reader from New Zealand and absolutely love your books - particularly that one learns something about history while enjoying a superb novel. As you are my favourite author, I was quite excited looking on your website today to discover that you are considering a new series Amber Mills. I would really be interested in a new series, especially based on the industrial revolution in the cotton industry, and enjoy family sagas, as do a lot of women. If you do decide to go ahead with it when would the first book be out. I guess the research takes quite a bit of time. Kind regards, Sandra.

Hi Peter,
I met up with an old school friend on Friday, Julie Stead and she suggested I contact you. I had my first book published in 2007 by a small publisher, Kings Hart Books, but because of difficult times are now asking authors to contribute to costs. I am finishing two books at the moment. Your remarks on marketing are the main issue for small publishers as well as in self-publishing.

I live in South Manchester now but am frequently over in Ilkley.

I'd love to come to the launch of your next book if that would be all right and meet you.

Best wishes
Ruth

Well The Glass Dagger – Revised 3rd edition « PETER COOKE – Author and Publisher was interesting. Not exactly what I was expecting to find when searching for technical author uk but worth a few minutes of my time anyway. You've clearly been busy lately!
